Saturday 16th April 2016 saw the ceremony to award service dogs from around the UK for their bravery and achievements. The awards were presented by Lord Petre and the citations read by Peter Purves

The Awards Held at Ingatestone Hall were covered by National & Local TV, national press and attended by Sir David Amess MP & Cllr Vicky Davies.
The nominees were awarded a framed citation and a leather lead embossed with handlers & dogs name. Recognition should also be awarded to organiser Roy Dyer MBE for raising the sponsorship and arranging an excellent event with the help of his team from the Essex Dog Training Centre.
Citations included the capture of a wanted man for serious assault and rape, being fired on when pursuing a suspect, actions at an armed siege which resulted in officers avoiding serious injuries and action in the theatre of conflict.
